Starting Work On A Clash Day

After a long period of Chinese New Year festive holiday, I am back to work. It is clash day for me but I have no choice since most of my other colleagues are from outstation, so they are taking a longer leave.

Although my immediate boss is on leave, I have to help out in the CEO’s office today. Our CEO is coming in for a short hour of two. While I make myself prepare the necessary somehow something still went amiss.

So how do you derive a day clash with your Bazi? It is by looking at branch of your year of birth vs. the branch of the day. The table below shows the Earthly Branches that clashes with each other:

Earthly Branches Six Clash

Earthly Branches Six Clashes

Although date selection is more than just looking at year branch, it is suffice for choosing a date to start work after the festive holiday.

But why use the year that you are born in and not other branches? In Bazi study, the year pillar represents your first line of defense. It has longer term effect on you. Therefore, in date selection we would not want a date that clash with the sign of the year that person is born in.

Review of Joey Yap’s Feng Shui & Astrology 2009 Seminar

As usual I will attend Joey Yap's Yearly Feng Shui & Astrology Seminar every year. If I remember correctly, this is the fourth year I attended the Yearly Feng Shui & Astrology Seminar. This year the Seminar is called "Thriving in Challenging Times".

As always, I like to start off my day with a good breakfast hence I have went to KL Convention Centre earlier than usual to obtain a good seat. Yep, I am beginning to act like our "Kiasu" Southern neighbour, much to my own chagrin. This year the seminar was at Plenary Hall which I find was much better then Grand Ball Room. Last year was jam packed with people. Although this year every seat was filled up, it was much better. Yes, if you like to know I don't fancy crowded places too much.

The seminar went on quite well as usual with only tiny problem with the sound system at the early stage. Joey with his compact information, and every now and then humorous remarks made the seminar much more interesting.

So what's in Joey's seminar? The main topics covered Feng Shui, Chinese Astrology Forecast and Face Fortune for 2009. Flipping through the Feng Shui & Astrology Seminar booklet, there was a lot of information that I do like share here at my blog but the fine print "Feng Shui & Astrology for 2009 All rights reserved worldwide. Copyright © by Joey Yap" keep pop up for my attention. When have I develop a tendency to look at the fine print, I have no idea. Guess when you mature with time, you tend to be more careful. Or maybe I have become "Kiasi" as well. Well if your house main door is in the West and your room takes up the Northeast and half of East section of the house you would pretty does the same thing. If you look at the flying star chart for 2009 below you will know what I mean.

Flying Star 2009

I am the lucky girl! The flying star of 2 in the West, 7 in the East and 3 in the Northeast seems to like me very much. The West where the No. 2 star resides supposed to bring real estate and property gain for me. Not year for me. The potential health problem holds true for my case. I have back pains already after the spring cleaning of my house.

Then the No.3 star in the Northeast brings about constant argument and legal problem. I shall be proper law abiding citizen this year not that I don't abide the law most of the time. The Grand Duke is also residing at the North East 1 this year. Since I am not facing the Grand Duke thats not so bad.

No. 7 star in the East brings about turbulent emotions, medical complications and competitive work environment. Competition in working place! Nope, not afraid of that! I am more afraid there are no people working. Everyone seems to be on holiday moods already.

At least I must be thankful that I am not at the worst sector that is in the North. My parents are lucky though, the No. 8 star is in their room. That's where the cash located. My brother is also quite lucky this year. He got the No. 1 star in the Northwest section where there are potential gain in status, good name and nobleman help. It is also where you can find future cash.

The peach blossom luck is also not with me this year too. It has fly to the South.

The Southwest is good for career progress though the sector faces the Grand Duke. My home staircase is located here so I guess I can only make progress up the stair and down as well. I do it every day. Don't know it will incur the wrath of Grand Duke. You know besides putting water at an area to activate the Qi, movement and sound can also be also do the trick.

Okay, enough about my home! Back to Joey Yap's seminar. It would be such a horrible article to post in my blog if there aren't any tips for 2009. So here are the tidbits that are not in the booklet but mentioned in his seminar:

  1. Since 2009 is the Ji Earth year, the earth element is prominent. Exhausting element of water and controlling element of wood can be used. Therefore industry related to this two element would be doing well. The fire industry will be okay too this year.
  2. Since water element is important this year, the part of the face that represents the water element is around the lip area that is from the end of your nose to your chin. If you have double chin, you would be doing well this year. You lip must also close properly. Your teeth should not protrude out.

  3. Good dates to start work after Chinese New Year are 28 Jan (except rabbit), 30 Jan (except snake & rooster), 2 Feb (except monkey) and 6 Feb (except rat). 2 Feb is a good day to start work if you want to remove any bad experience from last year and begin anew.

  4. Dates to avoid any major events or important activities are 31 Jan, 25 Feb, 17 Mar and 22 Jul (solar eclipse. Avoid being exposing to the solar eclipse phenomena).

There are a lot more information, I don't think I can mention it all. You should consider going for next year seminar. Besides, there are lots of bargain on Joey Yap’s books and courses. I signed up for one of his courses that come with free gift of a book and a compass. I already have that. I asked for exchanged and you know what? I got the 2 latest book titles, “Walking The Dragon” and “Pure Feng Shui”. Talk about generosity.

The Tallest Man in The World

Sometimes ago, I have written on the Jia Yin Day which was an excellent day according to Dong Gong method of date selection. I have wondered that Bao Xishun, who currently holds the title of tallest man alive in the Guinness World Record, is born on a Jia Yin day. I have search high and low for his birth date but to no avail.

One of my reader suggested that I looked at another record holder. He is no other than Robert Wadlow. Born in 22 February 1918, Robert is often called "Alton Giant" in his hometown. His height as the tallest man in the medical history is irrefutable until now. He pass away at the age 22 and his last measured heights is 2.72 m or 8 ft 11.1 in.

So can bazi tell a person physical attributes? Yes, up to some point.

Though Robert Wadlow is not born on a Jia Yin day, you can find the Jia Yin Pillar in his chart and it's right on the Month Pillar. It is the most prosperous element in the chart being born right at the start of spring. Imagine a tall, lush, green forest!

Green Forest
That is how Robert Wadlow going to look. Tall, extremely tall!

Robert Wadlow's Bazi Chart

Robert's Day Master is Geng Metal. Being born in spring it is the weakest element in the chart. The chart also does not show the Geng Metal rooted in any of the three pillars. I doubt that the hour pillar has the metal element to support the day master as well. Imagine an axe being used to chop forest of woods. It is tedious work all the way.

According to Wikipedia, Robert started the abnormal growth at the age of 4 when he entered the Luck Pillar of age 4. Between age 4 to 23, Robert was going through the Luck Pillar of wood element. This explained his rapid growth from an ordinary boy to a well-known "Alton Giant".

Robert's popularity began from 1936 at the age of 18 that is in the Luck Pillar of Bing Chen. The Bing Fire in the stem is an Influence Star to Robert. It brought him tremendous fame among the American. It was estimated 40,000 people turn out in his funeral.

His fame as the "Gentle Giant of Illinois" will continue even after his death as shown by continuous fire element from his Luck Pillar of age 14 onwards as well as the Ding Fire in the Wu Horse on the Year Branch.

Prince William’s Bazi

Sometimes ago, I have looked into Prince Harry's Bazi Chart and I have says I will post his brother's Bazi Chart, Prince William of Wales later.

Prince WilliamHe is born in 21 June 1982 at 9.03 p.m. At the moment he is 26 years old. Below is his Bazi Chart.

Prince William's Bazi Chart

Prince William is affectionately called by his parents as Wombat or Wills. His Day Master is Yi Wood born in at the peak of the summer. In his chart, the year pillar stands the Ren Xu. Ren Water denotes Resource Star to a Yi Wood person while the Xu Dog (main Qi Wu Earth) is Wealth Star. This denotes that he is born in wealthy family and will have the continuous support from his Resource Star. In the Xu Dog, there are two secondary Qi which are the Ding Fire and Xin Metal. Ding Fire is Output Star (Eating God) while the Xin Metal represents Influence Star (7 Killing). These two stars carry with it duties and power of the Royal Family.

With the Bing Fire as Hurting Officer Star (Month Stem), Prince Charles comes across as a boisterous and sometimes a rebellious. He is highly intelligent being born an Eating God Structure. As both of the Output Stars (Hurting Officer and Eating God) are present in his chart which denotes certain amount of eccentricity in the way he do things.

At the Luck Pillar of age 5 to 14, Ding Wei, the stem revealed his Output Star (Ding Fire). Therefore at the early age he already involved in royal duties. It was noted that Prince William accompanied his parents on official visits at an early age. Prince William first public appearance was at the age of 9 which kick started his duties as the second heir inline to the thrown officially.

His Mother's Death

Prince William & His Mother Prince William was 15 years old when his mother died in the car accident at Paris in 1997. It was at the time that he was moving into the Luck Pillar of Wu Shen (age 15 to 24). So we will look at the Luck Pillar of age 5 to 14 and age 15 to 24.

The Wei Goat in the Luck Pillar of age 5 is a destruction formation to Xu Dog the Year Pillar Branch. In the year 1997, with the Annual Pillar of Ding Chou it had completed the Bullying Punishment formation. This was very similar to Princess Diana's Bazi Chart at that point of time. The Chou Ox also harmed the Wu Horse on the Month Pillar Branch which represents his mother palaces.

At the Luck Pillar of age 15 stands the Wu Shen. The Shen Monkey at the Branch also harmed the home palace that was the Hai Pig which located the Resource Star. The Resource Star represents the Mother Star to Prince William in his Bazi Chart. At the same time, there is another Hai Pig at the Hour Pillar Branch which formed a punishment (Hour-Month Branch). In addition, the Resource Star was also in Death & Emptiness cycle during the Luck Pillar of age 15. Another Hai Pig (Hour Branch) denotes another woman in his father life which had caused much unhappiness in her mother marriage. Princess Diana has reportedly says that her marriage has become too crowded.

It was at this point of Prince William's life that he faced tremendous pressure from the press as well as family issues. He had to deal with his parents' separation, later divorced in 1996 and then his mother death in 1997.

When will the Prince marry?

One way of checking Bazi, when a person is going to tie the knot is by looking at the Spouse Star and checking whether there are combo with the Day Master and the Spouse Palaces.

Marriage Combo In Prince William's Bazi Chart, the Spouse Star represents by Wu Earth in Xu Dog sit at the Year Branch. In the Xu Dog contained the Ding Fire and Xin Metal that represent Resource Star and Output Star respectively to this Xu Dog. In addition the Ren Water sits on stem and rooted on Hai Pigs. This denotes wealth to Wife Star. This tells us that the family background of the Wife Star is from a wealthy working class family.

At the Luck Pillar of age 15, the Wu Earth appeared on the stem which means Prince William has met his future wife during this period. A quick check in the net on who is the lady in Prince William life at this period shows the result of Catherine Elizabeth Middleton. They met in the year of 2001 and they officially become couple in the year 2003 which was in the Luck Pillar of Wu Shen.

When Prince William turned 25 year old, that is in year 2007, their relationship turned rocky. At the age of 25, Prince William has just gone into the Luck Pillar of Ji You. The You Rooster~Xu Dog is a harm formation. In April 2007, The Sun newspaper reported that the couple had split up. They remained as good friends although the media have several times indicated otherwise. Looking at Luck Pillar of age 25, the stem reveals Ji Earth (Girlfriend Stars to Yi Wood Day Master) which very much says the status of relationship between Prince William and Kate Middleton at the point of time.

Prince William & Kate Middleton

So will Kate Middleton be the future King's wife? Maybe... will come back to this question in next post.

Back to our question on when Prince William is getting married. He had indicated that he may consider marriage at the age of 28 or 30. Filtering through calendar I have found in the year 2010, Geng Yin, which form combo with the Day Master and Spouse Palace. Prince William is exactly at the age of 28 by then. So there is a high possibility of marriage at year 2010. However, there might be some problem due to the Hai-Yin combo and destruct. Thing would be difficult. However since both the element of water and wood are favourable to Prince William, the outcome would be favourable as well. Another possibility is in the year of 2013, Gui Si year. The presence of Red Matchmaker and Dragon Virtue Stars make the year 2013 a good year for Prince William to get married.

Looking at his chart, it is better for him to marry late in life maybe around the age of 35.

When will Prince William ascent the thrown?

This question involved the status of a person. So we will look into the Influence Star. In the Luck Pillar of Geng Xu, age 35 onwards, the Influence Star, Geng Metal appear on the stem supported by the Wealth Star on the branch. Geng Metal is Direct Officer Star to Prince William. It also combines with Yi Wood producing the metal element. Therefore, it is likely in this period that Prince William wills ascent the thrown as the King of Britain Monarchy.
